Fancy Dress Costumes For A Party

By: Michael Russell

Article Word Count: 399

I bought a bunch of different childrens fancy dress costumes last year for a costume party at our home. Halloween is always so much fun because of the costumes, so I decided to have a costume party for the end of school. My kids go to an extremely small school and have very few classmates.

One of the childrens fancy dress costumes that I bought transformed my daughter into the Spider Queen. Her outfit included a dress, a molded neckpiece and a belt. She looked a little bit creepy, which is what she wanted.

My daughters best friend chose the sweetest of the childrens fancy dress costumes. She became Alice in Wonderland. The hair bow that was included was really cute. She looked dainty, just like in the movie.

I think that my favorite childrens fancy dress costumes were the funny ones. I had one little girl choose to be a troll. The troll costume came with an enormous pink foam wig and was so funny.

There were two little girls that both wanted to be angels. Only one of the childrens fancy dress costumes was an angel and they had to draw straws to see which one could wear it. The outfit came with just the dress and the belt, the halo and the wand were not included.

The little girl that did not wear the angel outfit found another one of the childrens fancy dress costumes that she loved instantly. She ended up in pink, head to toe. She was an Arabian princess. Her costume came with a headband, a veil, a halter top and even pantaloons. She was a vision in pink.

My teenage daughter was one of the party chaperones. She wanted to be in costume as well. I bought one large childs fancy dress costumes specifically for her. She was the bat princess, complete with wings. I did her makeup and she looked frightening.

I had two childrens fancy dress costumes that looked pretty similar, the Arabian princess and the belly dancer. I thought that the belly dancer costume was pretty with pink and purple sashes and little armlets. The two girls didnt seem to mind looking so similar, all they could see were the differences.
